Carnelian agates are a type of orange chalcedony that is often banded with layers of brownish hues, orange and red.

These fiery stones are linked to the sacral chakra often described as a natural energizer. It symbolizes, motivation, creativity, passion and offers protection.

For rock hounds they can be commonly found in Washington and Oregon state. I have been lucky enough to find a few while walking my dogs at the beach, definitely a favorite stone of mine
